We helped with the restoration of an old storage into a better and safer place.

We oppened a ancient path while hiking through it. We build a wooden path for trecking.

We organized a treasure hunt using information about the nearby village of Kallithea.

We build the walls of a wooden structure storage with natural building material as Cob. 

We organized a basketball game between our group and memebers of Crossroads, with additional players joining from the nearby city of Megalopoli.

We created swales in the land to provide protection and keeping water resources for a plantation of 100 trees.

We hosted a sharing intercultural evening with the village nearby, bringing games, food and music.

We joined the upcycling system of clothes of the organization. We packed more than 500 pieces of clothes from donations of people that goes to people in need of clothes such us migrants all over the globe.

We created a dry wall of more than 300 rocks to provide support for the gardens. We created a space for 3 gardens and we harvested vegetables from all the gardens.

We joined the celebration of the nearby village “Panigiri”. We were joining dances, music and food sharing in a Greek festival.

We created a wooden structure from the base to the end of 4 compost toilets. The tasks were from digging the foundations, to cut the wood pieces to paint all the wooden structure.

We successfully created a new drystone path at the entrance of Yamochori, learning and practicing this traditional building technique under the guidance of Alexandros. We collected and upcycled stones from the mountain and an old destroyed house, joined a workshop on the history and techniques of drystone construction, and then worked together to build the path step by step, stone by stone.

We completed the final stage of the greenhouse construction by preparing the space, building drystone steps, creating the plaster mixture, and applying the final outer layer to the walls and rooftop. We also spent time in the garden, taking care of trees and vegetables, collecting eucalyptus leaves for mulch, and watering the plants using the donut method. Alongside the work, we enjoyed life in Hopeland through beach sunsets, yoga sessions, silent discos, local community visits, and traditional celebrations.

We supported the construction of the future Wheeling 2 Help farm by helping with woodwork for the main building and taking care of the olive trees. Together with other volunteers, we also cleaned the Vellas river, collecting more than 70 bags of trash. Alongside the work, we shared community activities, games, yoga sessions, and an open event presenting our Modern Odyssey journey.
