Week 6 – Impact

This week, we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the work of the local community organization Σύλλογος Ατόμων με Αναπηρία Ν. Αργολίδας (Association of People with Disabilities of Argolis).

Inspired by their mission to create more inclusive environments for people with disabilities, we explored the importance of empathy, inclusion, and compassion, while engaging more deeply with this year’s theme: mental health.

Our activities focused on facilitating creative workshops and meaningful moments of connection with people with physical and mental disabilities. At the same time, we contributed to the centre through practical work, repainting a wall and helping shape the community garden. Every activity became a lesson in collaboration, patience, and mutual support.

It wasn’t always easy. There were moments that challenged our energy and pushed us to adapt, communicate, and improvise. Facing these experiences together brought us closer and created space to openly reflect on our own experiences with mental health.

One of the most meaningful moments of the week was gathering in an appreciation circle, where we reflected on the impact we had created together and recognized the value of every contribution, no matter how small.

Our final week on the road begins today.
