Day 7 | Youthwork
Today was about bringing everything we have been exploring into the reality of youth work.
Participants facilitated the activities they designed, putting their ideas into practice and seeing how they could work with different groups of young people.
Working with others also meant adapting, observing and responding to what was happening in the moment, rather than simply following a plan.
The methods we explored throughout the week became tools to experiment with different ways of engaging young people, from theatre and movement to handcraft and guided meditations.
From experiencing methods to designing and testing them, the focus was on taking these ideas beyond Re:Body and into youth work outside Hopeland.
