This volunteering team is part of the European Solidarity Corps Humanitarian Aid programme, offering a 45-day experience in Chiang Dao, Northern Thailand. Participants engage in community-based work focused on women empowerment and cultural preservation. The experience is based on collaboration with local communities, combining practical work, workshops, and cultural exchange. Volunteers contribute to outputs such as an online diary, a summary video, and a creative advocacy project.
• Understand the realities of stateless and marginalised communities in Northern Thailand
• Learn humanitarian work through listening, collaboration, and co-creation
• Contribute to community-led resilience and infrastructure projects
• Develop intercultural understanding and active citizenship
• Build relationships with local communities through shared living and working
• 18–35 years old (not older than 36 at project start)
• Legal resident of an Erasmus+ programme country
• Completed Humanitarian Aid Training
• Willing to engage in practical work (construction, agriculture, education)
• Comfortable with basic rural living conditions
• Open to cultural diversity, teamwork, and community life
