SANSUSĪ is a contemporary performing arts and music initiative based in Susēja, Latvia. The project promotes artistic expression, community engagement, and cultural participation through festivals, artist residencies, workshops, and local activities. Volunteers will spend 35 days in the Latvian countryside supporting the preparation and delivery of the SANSUSĪ Festival, helping improve the residency centre, assisting artists in residence, engaging with local communities, and developing their own creative projects. The project combines practical work, cultural exchange, learning opportunities, and community life in an international team environment.

• Support the preparation, implementation, and closing of the SANSUSĪ Festival.
• Improve and maintain the Susēja artist residency centre and surrounding spaces.
• Encourage interaction between artists, volunteers, and local communities.
• Create and deliver workshops for volunteers, locals, and festival participants.
• Promote creativity, cultural participation, and self-expression.
• Support artists in residence with practical and technical tasks.
• Strengthen community well-being through arts and culture activities.
• Provide volunteers with opportunities to develop their own artistic or educational projects.

• 18–30 years old.
• Resident of an EU country or able to enter Latvia without a visa requirement.
• Motivated to learn, take initiative, and participate actively in project activities.
• Interested in arts, culture, community work, or social inclusion.
• Environmentally conscious and open to sustainable living practices.
• Comfortable with flexible working hours and group living.
• Ready to try new experiences and work in a multicultural environment.
• Previous volunteering experience is welcome but not required.
