Located in the vibrant neighborhood of Kreuzberg, Berlin, the childcare center Kita Ritterburg welcomes 85 children aged 1 to 7 years. Operating from Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, we provide a nurturing space divided into two groups: one for children aged 1-3 and another for those aged 3-7. Volunteers can work with either age group, with working hours from 9 AM to 4 PM. The team consists of 15 educators from diverse backgrounds, fluent in 8 different languages. We pride ourselves on inclusivity, supporting children and families affected by disabilities, illnesses, addiction, and social exclusion.

• Promote creativity and learning through a rich curriculum including music, theater, and various projects.
• Nurture each child's potential with an Early Excellence pedagogical approach.
• Enhance community spirit through celebrations, trips, and cultural exchanges.

There are also many possibilities in which a volunteer can contribute with their strengths and interests:
• introducing their country of origin or their own culture to the children: e.g. country/European projects, games, songs, cooking, etc.
