Week 5 – Viva La Vida loca(l) !
Gongo Village – Tanzania

Can you really say you’ve lived in Gongo Village if you haven’t tried traditional batik and tie-dye? This was definitely the highlight of our week — learning from the incredible Gongo Mamas how to create and paint fabrics used for everyday wear and for sale. We came, we saw, we dyed… and yes, we nailed it!
Back on site, the house is almost ready! We kept caring for the plants in the conservation area, making sure they’re well-watered and thriving.

This week also took us beyond Gongo — we visited two nearby villages as part of the Science Communication project, which is now active in the area. A great opportunity to share knowledge and learn from even more local communities.
Once again, we’re covered in soil… and filled with inspiration.
