LEAP (Local Empowerment, Action & Purpose) is a 6-month European Solidarity Corps volunteering project hosted by Cherry International Foundation in the Netherlands. The project takes place in the Drenthe region, with volunteers living in Emmen and participating in activities in Emmen and Dalen.
The project focuses on practical and digital work that supports local communities. Volunteers will collaborate with Cherry Foundation and Sedna, contributing to social media management, website content, newsletters, youth activities, creative workshops, community events, gardening, and animal care.
Volunteers may also support local organisations and initiatives, including Rensenlab, De Vrolijkheid, and community gardens.
The programme includes mentoring, Dutch language and cultural lessons, and ESC training sessions.
The opportunity runs from 11 January to 1 July 2027, with one remaining place available.
The ESC programme covers accommodation in a shared house with private bedrooms, eligible travel costs, ECAS health insurance, and €427 per month in living and pocket money. A bicycle is provided for local transportation.
