Week 2 – A Look Into Thai Culture
In our second week, we critically explored the world around us, social challenges, and group dynamics. We discussed Thai politics, religions, and society.
We joined the local community and tasted new tropical fruits.
We gave back to the community by collecting trash at the local hot springs, and we had the opportunity to discuss community management with the local women’s enterprise.
Lastly, we visited the Dara’ang community in Pang Dang Nok village for the first time, helping with the collection of trash and getting to know the space where we will be working in the upcoming weeks.
This week, we learned more about ourselves and others. We challenged our assumptions and started unlearning some of our preconceptions. Definitely a productive week.
