Week 2 – Integration

We parked the vans at our first stop: the beautiful historic Monastery of Poretsou, our home for the week.

The moment we set foot on the land, we were embraced by nature. The sounds of birds, the colours of spring, the scent of fresh herbs, and the open sky created space for curiosity, connection, and presence.

Hosted by Another Way, our diverse group joined the NGO’s efforts to help revitalize the area. From digging in the garden and caring for the land to learning about sustainable living, every task became an opportunity to connect with both the place and one another.

We held our first morning focus circle, gathering to set the tone for the day, coordinate responsibilities, and align as a team before beginning our activities.

As our community life began, we focused on building trust and creating a sense of safety, laying the foundation for how we care for one another throughout this journey.

Alongside our daily work in the field, we created teams and systems to support both the wellbeing and the practical organization of the group, making sure that even the smallest shared needs were taken care of. As our community continues to evolve, we adapt, learn, and grow together, creating a space where everyone can contribute, belong, and thrive.

What do you think are the foundations of a healthy community?
