Week 7 – Legacy
We rolled up our sleeves for one last week and contributed to Xorafaki, a local farm project of Wheeling2Help, where every task was a step toward building a more sustainable and welcoming environment for the future community.
Together, we helped build a small wooden house, created a mural on the kitchen wall, and refreshed the surroundings through maintenance and painting around the NISI campsite. At the farm, we also shared the everyday responsibilities that keep a place alive—cleaning, maintaining, caring for the space, and making it feel like home.
As we take our final steps on this journey, we leave behind more than a painted wall or a newly built house—we leave a legacy.
But our legacy is not only made of wood, paint, or the structures we helped repair. It is built through hard work, solidarity, and the belief that even the smallest actions can create lasting change.
It lives in every laugh we shared, every challenge we overcame together, and every memory we’ll carry long after we’ve left. These seven weeks reminded us that the most meaningful things we build are often invisible.
We arrived as volunteers. We leave connected by this experience.
Because a legacy isn’t only what you leave behind.
It’s also what you take with you.
