Through a unique programme that includes a five-day wilderness hike, team-building activities, ropes course challenges, reflection sessions, and nature-based learning experiences, participants will explore their personal strengths, step beyond their comfort zones, and discover new ways of building resilience. The project creates a space where young people can reconnect with themselves, others, and the natural world while developing meaningful friendships and learning from different cultures.
The project aims to strengthen young people's resilience by providing practical experiences, reflection tools, and outdoor challenges that encourage personal growth and self-awareness. It seeks to help participants identify and develop their inner and outer resources, increase their confidence in dealing with uncertainty, and cultivate a proactive approach to overcoming difficulties.
Roots of Resilience also promotes intercultural learning, teamwork, and social connection by bringing together young people from different European countries in a shared outdoor experience. Through nature-based education and experiential learning methods, participants will develop communication, cooperation, and leadership skills while fostering a deeper appreciation for wellbeing, personal responsibility, and sustainable relationships with nature and their communities.
