📣 On October 23rd, we have come together with 18 night Lyceum in Rhodes island, Greece to host an interactive workshop, extending the results of our latest Training Activity “The Camp” to the local community!
📚 On the agenda:
✅ Familiarization students with the concepts of activism and LGBTQI+ rights and encourage their participation
✅ Education on the legal differences of EU countries and the need for equality
✅ Familiarization students with moral actors such as religion and education and the stereotypes held regarding the LGBTQI+ community to change their perceptions and attitudes.
✅ Fostering a safe space for dialogue among attendees regarding the topics addressed, giving everyone the possibility to be heard, learn and reflect!
🏝️ Upon the completion of the workshop, we anticipate and hope for a greater dissemination of the projects’ results and the positive shift of perception regarding the LGBTQAI+ community among Greece. Seeing the positive perception among the smaller, island community of Rhodes, we can already see human rights equality on the Greek horizon.
🔜 We are just getting started, and can’t wait to bring you more updates regarding our journey with this amazing project! Stay tuned for more activities to be held by our wonderful partners across the EU!
👩‍🏫 We would like to share our gratitude to our facilitator Sylvia Dana, who made the workshop a reality.
