How can we impact others? How do various queer organizations operate in Athens?
On our second day of the FATE study visit, we delved deeper into the invaluable work of Θετική Φωνή (Positive Voice), a hub for the queer and young community in Athens, working on HIV, harm reduction, and refugees.
Our journey continued with a captivating historical and critical tour of Athens, finishing at the office of Qreclaim, where we explored the art of creating a welcoming and empowering space both at night events and in their educational workshops (xfutrhug).
It was an enlightening day filled with emotional moments and, at times, a sense of awe in the face of community struggles. However, at the end, we uncovered the power of community hope, which sparked new ideas for us to take into our daily work.
These are the chronicles of FATE – From Art To Empowerment Study Visit in Athens. Stay tuned for our last day together and what we harvested from this majestic journey!
The project is co-financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program, allowing us to join forces with our partner organisations to create an inclusive and creative environment: Active Rainbow | Fundacja Po Prostu Da Się | Roes Cooperativa
