Our Queers re-Act: Community Zine Workshop took place in Athens, Greece on October 29th.
During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to:
Learn about the history of typography, zine-making and queer zine-making
Using zine-making as a way of self-expression, self-discovery and connection with themselves and their communities
Gain firsthand experience through interactive games and activities, promoting inclusivity, diverse and artistic ways of communication
Contribute to the development of their peers by working together and creating a support system with feedback and fostering of deeper connections
Equipping members of the queer community with these skills has given a platform for their voices to be heard, through art and activism. Participants have co-created a zine in which they each added their personal touch, as well as their individual zine embodying their thoughts and perspectives!
