DAY 9: CATCHING THE BOOMERANG
We did it! We caught the Boomerang! Our project is coming to an end.
In the last Morning Circle we shared our most impactful learning, we shared our gratitude, insights and appreciation. We connected the dots and focused on the things we want to take with us at home.
Another topic we focused on today was the educational and professional opportunities that the EU is giving to its youth. Many of the Boomerang players want to continue going to projects, for some this was the first time, so we talked about other opportunities.
Ελπιδοχώρι / Hopeland has an amazing tradition, which is for each group of people who come to the venue, to plant a tree. This way, when they will come back, they will get to see the growth of the tree, as a reminder of how important it is to plant seeds, thoughts, and water them. We all contributed to planting the Boomerang tree, a pomegranate tree, creating a long-lasting connection with the project and the place.
The second part of the day was all about saying ” goodbye” and ”see you later” to the reflection group and to Hopeland. We are so grateful for the opportunity to be here together!
We are the players of the Boomerang youth exchange and we are also taking over the Facebook page of Roes Cooperativa for the next 2 days. Stay tuned!
The project is co-financed and supported by the Erasmus+ Youth Greece.
