DAY 4: THE GAME OF LIFE
The 4th day of the Boomerang project was about getting into the world of gamification. In the Morning Circle we shared our visions for the day, what we want to get from it, either it is enjoying, playing, having fun, or getting inspired and playing fair.
For 7 hours, meaning 7 years of life, the players got involved in a real-life simulation of the labour market. The purpose of the game was to encourage the participants to use their passions, talents and skills in order to achieve hypothetical money and satisfaction points.
One way of earning money was to get ”State Contracts”, contributing to the improvement of Ελπιδοχώρι / Hopeland. Some players opened their private businesses, such as offering massages, make-up, henna tattoos, graphic portraits, selling candies or coffee and so on.
The whole day was all about offering and receiving services, pursuing life goals and finding balance between our needs and goals and helping others achieve theirs.
We had a lot of fun and got to understand many things about ourselves. We enjoyed playing all day!
We are the players of the Boomerang youth exchange and we are also taking over the Facebook page of Roes Cooperativa for the next 7 days. Stay tuned!
The project is co-financed and supported by the Erasmus+ Youth Greece.
